Our Mission

The mission of Kingdom of God Church is to demonstrate Kingdom in Action by our lifestyle, our attitude, our culture response, and our disposition.

Our vision

The vision of Kingdom of God Church is connecting people to the Word and the Spirit. By this connection, the believer is equipped to dominate, to rule and reign on the earth.

Our Beliefs & Values

The Scriptures

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and is God’s revelation to mankind concerning His will, and constitutes the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths, the rule of the believer’s faith and conduct. The Scriptures are the divine revelations given from God and received by Man, and as such, are the only such revelations that are inspired and infallible. The Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and morals. The Word of God is the direct revelation of the will of God for all men and for all time. The Scriptures were plenary-verbally inspired, that is the Holy Spirit breathed upon men the very words and thoughts He wanted in conjunction with the writers personalities, traits and emotions. The Holy Spirit guarded and preserved each thought, phrase and word from any error, omission or inaccuracy.

Applicable Verses:

  • Exodus 24:4
  • II Timothy 3:16-17
  • Hebrews 4:12
  • II Peter 3:2

Our God who is infinitely perfect, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind, has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as the eternal Godhead, the Trinity, who has shown Himself as one God, existing in three persons – The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The Godhead is distinguishable but indivisible in essence; co-eternal, co-existent, co-equal in nature, attributes, power and glory. God is one undivided and invisible essence, yet with three eternal distinctions: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The One True God

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Godhead, who pre-existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin.  He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin.  He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion.  He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man.  He will come again to earth a second time in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.  He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever-present Lord.  Jesus’ finished work (His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension) reversed the curse concerning the spirit, soul, and body of the first man Adam.  He is the only Way to the Father, the only valid Door and entry into the realm of Spirit.

Applicable Verses:

  • John 1:1-3, 14-18
  • Philippians 2:5-8
  • Colossians 1:15-19
  • I Timothy 2:5-6

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine, the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and covert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby) to the Church. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration, He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates believers’ character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the believer is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and in addition to the New Birth. The initial evidence of speaking with other tongues, as well as other manifestations described in Acts 2, accompanies this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infillings of the Spirit. The purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have power to be witnesses.

The Holy Spirit and His Baptism

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel.  The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.

    Applicable Verses:

    •  Romans 12:4-8
    • 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

The establishment of God’s Kingdom on the earth. Bringing heaven to earth is the primary function of the church in each successive generation. The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations. The local church is an autonomous local congregation, a body of believers in Christ functioning in community and covenantal relationship for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. The local church operates under the Lordship of Christ through God’s delegated scriptural authority including Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers.

      The Church

      The Nature of Man

We believe that man is a created being and was made in the likeness and image of God (both male and female), innocent and without sin, enjoying perfect fellowship with Him and able to fulfill His will. But, through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world and passed upon all men. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.

      • Genesis 1:26-27
      • Genesis 2:7
      • Romans 5:12
      • Ephesians 2:1-3

Salvation is the free gift of God to Man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. Salvation is through repentance and confession of sin is given by divine grace, through belief alone, and received by faith in Christ Jesus, the mediator between God and man. Justification comes by faith alone in the substitutionary death and supernatural resurrection of Jesus Christ. At the point of belief, believers realize that their sin has separated them from God. They have given up all personal efforts to reach God through good works or religious activity and have embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are chosen for salvation by God. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation is an ongoing process that includes regeneration, repentance, justification, sanctification, and glorification. Believers are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and indwelt by Him, thus reconciling that person to God. Likewise, every true believer immediately becomes a member of God’s forever family: the universal church. Each believer then enters a process of sanctification, whereby an ever-increasing conformity to Jesus Christ comes through obedience to God in righteous living.

        Salvation

        Water Baptism

The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed (as commanded in the Scriptures) by all that have repented of their sins and in their hearts have believed on Christ as their Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been released to walk with Him in newness of life. Water baptism is a public testimony that a person has embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and has identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. When we received Christ, the Bible says the old life is gone and a new life has come. We go down into water (this is immersion) to signify our sinful life has died and come out of the water to signify that we are washed and revived to a new life in Christ! Water baptism is an outward demonstration of the inward change that has happened to us! The old man is put to death and the new creation man arises to walk in newness of life. Blood, water (baptism), and Spirit constitute the three witnesses that initiate the New Covenant.

        • 2 Corinthians 5:17

We believe in the public dedication of children to God following the example of godly parents in Scripture. Kingdom of God Church does not baptize children until they are in the second grade or higher and have received teaching and instructions on water baptism.

              Marriage

Marriage is a holy covenant created by God the Father in the uniting for a heterosexual union only between one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race. The biblical standard of marriage is between one man and one woman. Marriage also is a divine metaphor of the relationship between Christ and the church.

Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Deliverance from sickness is the privilege of all believers.  Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age. Healing is for any sickness of the human body and is produced by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of the entire Body of Christ today.

                        Eternity (The Final Judgment)

We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ, after which He will establish His earthly kingdom. However, the exact timing and unfolding of these events is a mystery, known only to God the Father. At Christ’s return, all those not believing will be separated eternally from God in hell; and all those believing will be saved eternally in heaven, and their reign with Jesus Christ. There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with Fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures.  The Lord’s Supper is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers “until He comes”.  This Eucharist, the Table of the Lord, is the ongoing celebration of the New Covenant.
